[Comparison for ELISA and CLIA of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D determination]
Objective:
To estimate the bias between the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25 (OH) D) determination, and to evaluate the correspondence of two methods.
Methods:
Forty human serum samples were collected, and the serum 25 (OH) D were determined by immunodiagnostic systems 25-hydroxy vitamin D EIA and immunodiagnostic systems iSYS analyser. According to the standards of NCCLS EP9-A2 files, the within and without outlier, test adequate range, used linear regression procedure, and compare average and maximum bias between these two methods were excluded.
Results:
In the linear regression analysis, the results of the two methods were correlated, y = 0.995x + 2.3928, r = 0.981. The relative standard deviation between these two methods was smaller with the higher serum 25(OH) D levels.
Conclusion:
The correlation and repeatability of serum 25 (OH) D determination by ELISA and CLIA are fine.
