Abstract:
The purpose of this State-wide study was to identify the most important competencies expected of first-line nursing managers. A list of 168 competencies was compiled from the literature and submitted to a panel of 16 expert nursing administrators and academics whose task it was to identify and rank in order the 20 most important of these.
