Pterygoid Plate Fractures: Not Limited to Le Fort Fractures

Pterygoid plate fractures frequently occur with Le Fort fractures, but a significant portion are unrelated. Other craniofacial injuries, like sphenotemporal buttress or temporal bone fractures, commonly cause isolated pterygoid plate damage.
