A method for counting monosodium urate crystals in synovial fluid

Counting monosodium urate (MSU) crystals in synovial fluid (SF) is a reliable gout diagnostic method. This study standardized the SF MSU crystal counting technique, showing high inter-reader and intra-reader agreement.
