Summary

A severe skin reaction, including urticaria and ulceration, occurred in a metastatic breast cancer patient treated with epirubicin. This reaction may have been caused by drug sensitization after previous extravasation.

This case underscores the importance of considering drug-induced hypersensitivity in patients presenting with unusual or severe skin reactions to chemotherapeutic agents.
