Summary

Myasthenia gravis (MG) involves generalized cholinergic nerve damage, affecting both dermal and muscular nerves. This study reveals nerve pathologies even without clinical signs of peripheral neuropathy in MG patients.

Background:

  • Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder typically affecting neuromuscular junctions.

Observation:

  • Ultrastructural examination of dermal and muscular nerves from a 13-year-old female patient with MG.

  • Observed axonal pathologies included disorganized organelles and proliferation.
