  • Radiographic and tomographic imaging showed a large mass with mixed bone and cartilage density, affecting the patellofemoral joint.

Findings:

  • Surgical excision of the patellar mass was performed.
  • Anatomopathological examination definitively diagnosed the lesion as patellar osteochondroma (osteocartilaginous exostosis).

Implications:

  • This case underscores the importance of considering rare presentations of common bone tumors.
  • Prompt diagnosis and surgical management of patellar osteochondroma are crucial to prevent potential complications like contiguous lesions or malignant transformation.
