Vaccination against canine babesiosis: an overview of field observations

Pirodog (ND) is a novel vaccine against canine babesiosis. It is commercially distributed and has been used in France since May 1988. Many things remain to be understood concerning individual susceptibility, the immunosuppressive effect of the disease, and the incidence of concomitant infections.
