Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare preoperative and postoperative pain, well-being, general health, and disease-specific scores between Black and white patients undergoing hip or knee arthroplasty.

  • To assess differences in patient-oriented outcomes between racial groups after arthroplasty.

  • Retrospective analysis of 2010 primary arthroplasties from an institutional registry.
