Observation:

  • A patient presented with unilateral inflammation involving the retinal pigment epithelium-choriocapillaris complex and optic disc.
  • Clinical examination revealed multiple small, shiny, yellowish-white subretinal lesions in the mid-peripheral retina and optic disc edema.

Findings:

  • Fluorescein angiography demonstrated hypofluorescence in early transit and late-phase leakage of the subretinal lesions.
  • Perivascular staining of retinal vessels and diffuse optic disc leakage were also noted.

Implications:

  • The observed inflammatory condition followed a benign clinical course.
  • Marked visual improvement and complete resolution of inflammatory lesions were achieved, highlighting the potential for favorable outcomes.
