T-cell Activation Induces Dynamic Changes in miRNA Expression Patterns in CD4 and CD8 T-cell Subsets

T-cell activation dynamically alters microRNA (miRNA) expression, with distinct early and late changes observed in CD4 and CD8 T cells. These findings reveal complex, subset-specific miRNA regulation following immune activation.

- Differential regulation was observed between CD4 and CD8 T cells, with earlier and more pronounced induction of miR-18a and miR-21 in CD4+ T cells, and greater downregulation of miR-223 and miR-451 in CD4+ T cells.

- T-cell activation induces a complex miRNA expression profile characterized by early/late and CD4/CD8 T-cell specific changes.
- These observed differences may reflect variations in the kinetics and efficiency of CD4 and CD8 T-cell responses to antigenic stimulation.
