    Background:

    • Atypical hemangiomas can present unique diagnostic challenges.
    • Fibro angiomatous tumors are rare vascular malformations.

    Observation:

    • A 12-year-old patient presented with an atypical hemangioma on the palatal mucosa near the incisors.
    • Biopsy revealed large-lumen blood vessels with endothelial cells, indicative of arteries.
    • The connective tissue showed significant fibrous and inflammatory components.

    Findings:

    • The histological features supported a diagnosis of fibro angiomatous tumor.
    • Surgical excision was performed as the treatment of choice.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the importance of accurate diagnosis for rare oral vascular lesions.
    • Complete surgical excision appears to be an effective treatment, preventing recurrence.
