Summary

Minimally invasive video-assisted thyroidectomy (MIVAT) is a safe and effective surgical approach for thyroid cancer. This technique demonstrates comparable oncologic outcomes and complication rates to open thyroidectomy for low- and intermediate-risk papillary carcinomas.
