Purpose of the Study:

  • To describe the construction of a novel PTA simulator.
  • To evaluate the realism and usefulness of the simulator in teaching drainage skills.
  • To assess the simulator's utility in residency training programs.

  • A PTA drainage simulator was constructed using accessible, reusable materials.
  • Expert otolaryngologists demonstrated PTA drainage techniques on the model.
  • Novice learners practiced the procedures, followed by a Likert-scale questionnaire assessment.

  • 18 otolaryngologists and senior residents participated.
