[Polyneuropathy in acute intermittent porphyria]

In a 50-year-old woman with polyneuropathy treated without success for 5 years the cause of the neurological disease was acute intermittent porphyria. The recognition of this disease and administration of proper treatment led to complete remission of the neurological manifestations.
