The genetic polymorphism in the STK11 does not affect gestational diabetes

This study found no significant association between the STK11 gene rs8111699 polymorphism and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Saudi women. The STK11 gene rs8111699 variant does not appear to increase GDM risk in this population.
