Patients with heart failure (HF) prioritize symptom relief, especially dyspnea, over other factors. Understanding these patient preferences is key to improving their health-related quality of life (HRQoL).

- Stable, chronic HF patients reported better HRQoL (average EQ-5D score 0.39) than those recently hospitalized.

- Preference weights derived from this study can inform the development of more patient-centered HRQoL assessment tools for HF care.
