[Interbody fusion in spondylolysis. Report of 18 cases]

Operation of interbody fusion done on 18 cases of lumbar spondylolysis with 1 degree spondylolisthesis resulted in complete relief of symptoms in all the patients. Through a follow-up period of 2 to 10 years, these 18 patients have been living a normal life without restriction of activity, including sexual intercourse. We would say that interbody fusion for spondylolysis is anatomically sound and biomechanically reasonable.
