Summary

Occupational therapists in inpatient rehabilitation hospitals often chose standard therapy gyms for stroke recovery interventions, regardless of environmental enhancements. The study found that the hospital environment significantly influenced their intervention choices.

Observational study over 16 months involving three occupational therapists and six stroke patients.
Interventions were conducted in varied settings: standard therapy gym, gym with kitchen, and home-like space.
