Cochlear Function Monitoring after Spinal Anesthesia

Spinal anesthesia does not harm cochlear outer hair cell function, as measured by distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs). This study suggests spinal anesthesia is safe for hearing, even for sensitive cochlear structures.
