Heterospecific aggression bias towards a rarer colour morph

Aggressive cichlid fish, Hypsophrys nicaraguensis, attacked gold color morphs more than dark ones. This interspecific aggression may explain why gold morphs are less common in Nicaraguan crater lakes.
