Summary

Congenital mesenteric defects causing internal hernias are rare. This case highlights the possibility of preoperative diagnosis for trans-mesenteric internal hernia, emphasizing early intervention for better outcomes.

Congenital mesenteric defects are uncommon conditions, frequently diagnosed during surgical procedures or autopsies.
Preoperative identification of internal hernias, particularly trans-mesenteric types, remains infrequent.
Intermittent postprandial pain is a characteristic symptom, while strangulation may present with vomiting and constipation.
