Findings:

  • The mobile right atrial myxoma likely caused transient tricuspid valve obstruction, leading to syncope.
  • Cardiac MRI with gadolinium contrast differentiated the myxoma from a potential right atrial thrombus.

Implications:

  • Right heart tumors should be included in the differential diagnosis for unexplained syncope.
  • Cardiac MRI is a valuable tool for diagnosing cardiac myxomas and distinguishing them from thrombi.
