    Background:

    • Muscle palpation is crucial for diagnosing temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and evaluating treatment efficacy.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the interrater agreement of masticatory muscle palpation scoring.
    • To assess the reliability of palpation assessments over time in patients with myofascial pain-dysfunction.

    • Two clinicians independently palpated TMJs, masticatory muscles, and related head/neck musculature on 31 patients over 6 weeks.
    • A behaviorally anchored rating scale (0-3) was used for palpation response.
