[The treatment of periodontal bone pockets with "Ilmaplant-R1"]

A method of treating periodontal bone pockets with the use of tricalcium phosphate ceramic is presented. Between September 1987 and February 1988 "ilmaplant-R1" was implanted in 30 bone defects of 12 patients in combination with flap operations. On the basis of results achieved in its application, this implantation material can be recommended by us, provided that its indication is observed.
