Risk factors for meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus colonization in dialysis patients: a meta-analysis

- Active surveillance and decolonization strategies should target haemodialysis patients with recent hospitalization, temporary access, low serum albumin, or chronic lung disease.
- These identified risk factors can inform clinical practice and public health interventions to mitigate MRSA spread in dialysis units.
