Acute Physiological Responses to Strongman Training Compared to Traditional Strength Training

Strongman training (ST) provides a similar physiological stimulus to traditional resistance strength training (RST). Both exercise modalities significantly elevate heart rate, caloric expenditure, and substrate utilization, suggesting comparable adaptive potential.
