Bioactive phloroglucinols from Mallotus oppositifolius

Two new acylphloroglucinol derivatives were isolated from Mallotus oppositifolius leaves. Methylene-bis-aspidinol (4) showed significant trypanocidal activity, while mallopposinol (2) and aspidinol B (3) had weak antileishmanial effects.
