Refractory cholinergic urticaria successfully treated with ketotifen

Ketotifen effectively treated four patients with severe cholinergic urticaria (CU) refractory to antihistamines. This drug, acting as an H1 antagonist and mast cell stabilizer, improved symptoms and blocked histamine release during exercise challenges.
