Background:

  • Metastatic soft-tissue sarcomas (STS) have limited treatment options.
  • Ifosfamide is a chemotherapy agent used in STS treatment.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the clinical activity of ifosfamide rechallenge in specific STS subtypes.
  • To evaluate ifosfamide rechallenge in synovial sarcoma (SS), liposarcoma (LPS), leiomyosarcoma (LMS), and high-grade sarcomas not otherwise specified.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of patients treated with ifosfamide.
  • Identification of patients rechallenged with single-agent ifosfamide after initial ifosfamide therapy.
  • Collection of baseline demographics and response assessment data.

Main Results:

  • Sixty-seven patients were analyzed, with SS being the most common subtype.
  • Clinical activity (partial response or stable disease) was observed in 50% of the adjuvant group and 34% of the palliative group.
