Abstract:
The Whole Systems Demonstrator (WSD), a cluster randomized trial of effects of telehealth, was initiated in 2008 including 3.230 patients from 179 general practices. The objective of this review is to summarize the results from WSD based on publications made so far. Results from five publications show that telehealth reduces mortality (odds ratio 0.54) during 12 months.
