Background:

  • Cervical pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy.
  • Hemorrhage is a significant risk during treatment.

Observation:

  • A patient with cervical pregnancy underwent treatment without hysterectomy.
  • Hemorrhage occurred post-procedure.

Findings:

  • A Foley catheter balloon was placed and inflated within the cervix.
  • This successfully controlled bleeding from the implantation site.
  • The method proved simple and effective for managing postoperative hemorrhage.

Implications:

  • This technique offers a conservative management option for cervical pregnancy.
  • It may reduce the need for hysterectomy in select cases.
