Mandated bundled payments compel hospitals to rethink post-acute care

Health care is on the brink of an industrywide shift to a bundled payment model in which payment covers episodes of care extending from prehospitalization into post-acute care. Hospitals and health systems should begin development of a post-acute care network strategy in preparation for bundled payments.
