Miniaturized cardiopulmonary bypass (mCPB) reduces inflammation during coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery. This approach attenuates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation compared to conventional CPB (cCPB).
