[Effect of Dermal Multipotent Cells Transplantation on Skin Elasticity in Aged Murine]
Objective:
To investigate the elasticity changes in aged dermis after injection of dermal multipotent cells (DMCs).
Methods:
Dermal multipotent cells were isolated and cultured from 3-day-old BALB/c mice and then transplanted into the dermis of aged (12-week-old) BALB/c mice. Adult fibroblasts (FBs) were employed as control. At 2 and 4 weeks after the transplantation, we examined dermal elasticity by MPA580 skin test machine.
Results:
The skin elasticity were improve at 2 weeks after the transplantion in both DMCs group and FBs group (P=0. 000) but have no statistical difference between these two groups (P=0. 216). The different effect between these two groups appeared in 4 weeks after the transplantation (P=0. 031).
Conclusion:
Dermal multipotent cells appear more effective than fibroblasts in increasing skin elasticity.
