Summary

The BCG Pasteur strain induced a stronger immune response, including higher antibody titers and T cell activity, compared to the BCG China strain in mice. These differences in immune response by Bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine strain may explain variable tuberculosis (TB) protection.
