Mechanisms for glyproline protection in hypercholesterolemia

Small regulatory glyproline peptides, including Pro-Gly-Pro-Leu, show significant hypocholesterolemic and antithrombotic effects. These peptides improve lipid metabolism and enhance the anticoagulation system in rats with hypercholesterolemia.
