Roll-Plate Alone Does Not Demonstrate Colonization In Silicone Neonatal Catheters

For neonatal central catheters, the roll-plate method poorly detects colonization and catheter-related bloodstream infections (C-RBSI). Sonication and slicing methods show higher detection rates for these critical infections.
