[Results of hemodynamic functional studies in peripheral micro- and macroangiopathy]
1Klinik für Medizin Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg.
Abstract:
In order to assess the functional haemodynamic effects of a peripheral micro- and macroangiopathy in 59 patients at rest and under ergometric load non-invasive measurements of blood pressure and blood flow were performed with the help of the Doppler sonography, the venous-occlusion plethysmography and the 133-xenon-clearance methodology. Type 1 diabetics with microangiopathy showed a restriction of the vasomotor reagibility and the width of regulation, they, however, did not show a decrease of the muscular working hyperaemia. The arteriosclerotic macroangiopathy led to a pathologic pressure and flow reaction on exertion. With the help of the Doppler sonography asymptomatic vascular changes could also be detected at the clinical stage I.
