Asthma as a risk factor for zoster in adults: A population-based case-control study

Adults with asthma have a significantly higher risk of developing shingles (herpes zoster). This study identifies asthma as an unrecognized risk factor, suggesting targeted immunization for adults over 50 with asthma.
