    • To assess the morbidity and mortality associated with developing a high-volume pancreatic surgery center.
    • To evaluate the safety of DPC during the transition from low-volume to high-volume center status.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective analysis of 335 consecutive DPC procedures performed between July 2007 and July 2009.
    • Comparison of outcomes between a low-volume period (1998-2005) and a high-volume period (2006-2012).
    • All surgeries were conducted by a high-volume surgeon (≥16 DPCs/year).
