[The Harrington method of treating scoliosis in adults: its biomechanical analysis and modification]

The authors have analysed the outcomes of the surgical treatment of 23 patients with spondylolisthesis of the 4th and the 5th lumbar vertebrae at stages I--IV. The longterm results of the treatment of the patients who had been operated on after the methods worked out by V. D. Chaklin and A. A. Korzh proved to the quite favourable.
