Purpose of the Study:

Main Methods:

  • A ward-based hearing screen was conducted on 51 elderly inpatients (>65 years).
  • The screening included a patient-reported hearing disability assessment and a whisper test.
  • Individuals failing the screen or reporting difficulties were referred for formal audiological assessment.
