Novel three-sinus enlargement technique for supravalvular aortic stenosis without aortic transection

This study presents a novel surgical technique for complex supravalvular aortic stenosis (SVAS) in infants. The three-sinus enlargement method effectively treats SVAS without compromising aortic growth.

- A novel reconstructive operation involving three-sinus and ascending aorta enlargement was performed without aortic root transection.
- This technique was successfully applied to a 6-month-old infant weighing less than 10 kg.
Implications:
- The novel three-sinus enlargement technique is a viable treatment for all types of SVAS in infants.
- This method is particularly beneficial for low-weight infants, promoting normal ascending aorta growth post-surgery.
