Sexual differentiation and mate recognition. The dynamics of structure
Abstract:
Sexual differentiation results in an array of distinct sexual morphotypes and two biological sexes are not sufficient to describe all the forms that are observed. It is also plainly impossible to discuss mate recognition without reference to sexual morphology, because the body and the brain are inseparably linked throughout the sexual differentiation process. It follows that we must rework conceptually inadequate notions about sexual morphology before general theories of sexual behaviour can be developed.
