This study presents a novel Achilles tendon reconstruction technique for chronic ruptures with large defects. The semitendinosis autograft and screw fixation method showed significant patient recovery and functional improvement within a year.

  • Significant improvements in patient-reported outcomes were observed at 12 months post-surgery.
  • Validated scores (MOXFQ, EQ5D-5L, EQ VAS, VISA-A) showed marked enhancement.
