Abstract:
It has been shown that it is possible to apply echographic diagnosis of cholecystitis developed in patients in the early period following surgery on the stomach under the conditions of an intensive care and resuscitation unit. A complex of echographic symptoms typical of inflammatory changes in the gallbladder is described. The method has been demonstrated to be valuable for confirming the clinical assumption of the presence of cholecystitis, subhepatic abscess. The reasons for incomplete diagnosis are discussed when echography is employed.
