Methods:
Analysis was done on data from all 26 patients who were diagnosed with fetal congenital diaphragmatic hernia by ultrasonography and delivered at Beijing obstetrics and gynecology hospital, capital medical university from Jan 1st, 2009 to Mar 31st, 2015.
Results:
Out of the 26 patients, fetal congenital diaphragmatic hernia occurred at left side thoracic cavity in 25 patients, only one fetal congenital diaphragmatic hernia occurred at right side thoracic cavity. There were 14 patients who abandoned fetuses and induced labour in second trimester, and there were 12 patients who delivered in lategestation. 6 neonates received surgical procedures and survived.
Conclusions:
Prenatal ultrasonography is an important method to diagnose fetal congenital diaphragmatichernia.Comprehensive evaluation of the prognosis should be done based on site of diaphragmatic hernia, whether or not complicating with other abnormalities, pulmonary development condition.Intrauterine therapy can be applied during pregnancy, and surgical procedures can be conducted at fitting time after birth.
