KDR gene polymorphisms and idiopathic recurrent spontaneous abortion

This study found no link between two specific KDR gene single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) in women from southeast Iran. Further research is needed to understand the genetic factors contributing to RSA.

- The investigated single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the KDR gene are not associated with an increased risk of recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA).
- These findings suggest that other genetic or environmental factors may be involved in the etiology of idiopathic RSA in this population.
- Further studies with larger sample sizes and different populations are warranted to fully elucidate the role of KDR gene variants in RSA.
