A novel halo-tolerant actinomycete, Aeromicrobium halotolerans sp. nov. YIM Y47(T), was discovered in Chinese desert soil. This aerobic bacterium exhibits unique chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic properties, expanding the Aeromicrobium genus.
